Fancy clock from Edo period

I took this photo at a Japanese Folk Crafts Museum in Tokyo. I love going to these places to get inspired by the craftsmanship from the past. It's a clock from the Edo period called 卦算時計 Kesantokei. It's a clockwork style, and the shape is usually around 15 cm in length. The shape is the same as a 文鎮 Bunchin, a pape weight tool people use for doing calligraphy. I love the tiny details and how the numbers are not numerical but are Japanese characters to indicate time.
