This project examines the convergence of the physical body, clothing, and symbolism within the digital realm through a series of connected avatar concepts created for Cult Futures in collaboration with i-D and available on DRESSX. The work reflects on the future of beauty standards and digital identity, positioning fashion as a primary tool for psychological and symbolic expression.

The first concept, The Living Garment, reimagines traditional tattoos as three-dimensional, living garments. Drawing inspiration from the phoenix and dragon—symbols of yin and yang—the tattoo is elevated from the skin into a floating, armor-like form. By blurring the boundaries between ornament and clothing, this piece suggests a state of constant spiritual transformation, where balance and protection become wearable attributes.

The second concept, The Many Masked Avatar, explores the theatricality of the self. Featuring a kimono-inspired silhouette and four arms, the avatar holds masks representing Destruction, Deception, Rage, and a Sad Smile. In this digital context, the masks do not serve to hide the wearer; instead, they function as "emotional armor." This references historical theatrical costumes where the act of masking is a powerful tool of transformation—revealing complex inner states while providing a layer of psychological strength.

The collection serves as an exploration of how we manifest our internal identities in virtual spaces, where fabric is replaced by metaphor.
